(...)this was a great return from one of Montreal's most interesting 'rock' bands. Funny that it took a classical music festival to bring them back together.

The band hadn't performed together for a year and a half, but just spent a couple of weeks recording material for their upcoming album. And they sound great. Compositions are elegant: firmly diatonic but richly scored, layering various instrumentals (steel guitar, horns, violin, all sorts of percusion, and a guest appearance from singer/cellist Jorane) and led with fantastic energy by violinist Sarah Neufeld and drummer Stef Schneider.
